    This 10-session series provides a schoolwide professional learning arc designed to strengthen instructional clarity, equity, and collaboration across classrooms. Sessions are dynamic, actionable, and rooted in research, ensuring that teachers walk away with strategies they can apply immediately.

    Educators engage in purposeful lesson design informed by brain science, explore equity-minded grading and assessment practices, and learn how to integrate student voice and identity into daily instruction. The series also supports teachers in developing literacy strategies across all subjects and navigating mandated curriculum with creativity and autonomy.

    The program begins with a schoolwide needs assessment and instructional walkthrough to surface trends and priorities. It concludes with a shared reflection and planning session that helps sustain the work and ensure continued growth.

📖 The Literacy Bridge: ELA and Literacy Leadership

  • For middle and high school ELA teachers, literacy leads, and instructional coaches

    The Literacy Bridge is a 10-session series that alternates with the Full-Staff PD or serves as a standalone series, giving ELA educators the opportunity to go deeper into the craft of literacy instruction and curriculum leadership. Designed to strengthen literacy systems across grade levels, the series provides a space for teachers and coaches to sharpen practice, align vertically, and take on leadership roles.

    Participants focus utilizing high quality grade level text, designing standards-based tasks, building comprehension and writing routines grounded in brain science, and implementing identity-affirming, culturally responsive instruction. The sessions also support authentic assessment design, rubric alignment, and vertical literacy mapping to ensure smooth transitions between grade levels.

    The series concludes with a Literacy Showcase and the development of a teacher-created Literacy Toolkit. This resource captures strategies, assessments, and routines designed by educators themselves, ensuring long-term impact across the school community.

📘 Literacy Acceleration Program

  • For families seeking to provide their students with strong foundation in reading skills and abilities.

    The Literacy Acceleration Program is a 6-week, research-based individual tutoring series designed to build a strong foundation in reading while fostering student confidence. Led by Harvard-educated reading specialist Sabrina Alicea, Ed.M., the program combines personalized, one-on-one instruction with simple strategies families can use at home.

    The program begins with a comprehensive literacy assessment that examines phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Based on this, a personalized learning plan is created that outlines clear growth goals. Students then participate in a minimum of six weekly sessions that focus on targeted literacy skills using methods grounded in the Science of Reading.

    Families receive weekly take-home practice tools, curated book lists, and midpoint check-ins to monitor progress. At the conclusion of the program, students complete a final growth assessment. Parents receive a written growth report that compares initial and final results and includes recommendations for sustaining progress.

    This program ensures measurable growth, stronger reading skills, and renewed confidence in just six weeks.
