Meet the Founder

Sabrina Alicea is a Harvard-trained Reading Specialist and instructional consultant who has spent more than 15 years working at every level of literacy education, from designing professional learning for teachers and school leaders to sitting one-on-one with a child who is just learning to love reading.

She holds a Master's in Education in Language and Literacy from Harvard University and has built and facilitated literacy materials and programs used across school districts in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and more.

What sets Sabrina apart is this range. Schools work with her because she understands curriculum systems, teacher development, and what it actually takes to shift literacy outcomes at scale. Families choose her because she doesn't treat their child like a case to fix. She builds each student's reading experience around who they are, with custom materials and hand picked books tailored to their specific interests and strengths.
